The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry is a municipality in Huron County, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the north portion of Huron County, near the Bruce County border, southeast of Wingham. It was formed as an amalgamation of the former Morris and Turnberry townships in 2001 in an Ontario-wide local government restructuring imposed by the government of that time. The two former townships now comprise the wards of the amalgamated municipality. Morris-Turnberry's only significant settlement is Bluevale, located at the junction of Huron Roads 86 and 87 east of Wingham. This is where Elias Disney, father of Walt Disney, was born in 1859. The other communities (Blyth, Belgrave, Brussels and Wingham) are all bordering on neighbouring municipalities. A notable native is Elias Disney, the father of Walt Disney, the founder and namesake of Disney. ==Demographics== Population trend:〔Statistics Canada: 1996, 2001, 2006 census〕 * Population in 2011: 3413 * Population in 2006: 3403 * Population in 2001: 3499 * Population total in 1996: 3504 * * Morris (township): 1732 * * Turnberry (township): 1772 * Population in 1991: * * Morris (township): 1725 * * Turnberry (township): 1582 Private dwellings occupied by usual residents: 1155 (total dwellings: 1246) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Morris-Turnberry」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
